Hamilton Planetarium Scholarship Fund, Inc.
Students interested in working in the planetarium field should be made aware of the availability of generous scholarships. Past awards have been made to students in New York, Texas, Indiana, and elsewhere. Amounts have ranged from $1,500 to $4,000 per semester plus a selection of books on astronomical topics suitable as references when writing planetarium shows.
The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to students interested in gaining employment in the planetarium field as professionals. These scholarships are open to all United States citizens or legal residents attending accredited educational institutions in the United States or possessions.
Awards are based on answers to the two page application, recent transcripts, and recommendations. They are potentially renewable based on satisfactory academic progress.
