Elections
As a member of the Middle Atlantic Planetarium Society, YOU have the privilege to vote for colleagues who will serve as your representatives on the MAPS Board.
- Officers shall be elected by the membership via electronic balloting in January of each year.
- Terms of office shall be for two years.
- The President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer-Elect** shall be elected in odd-numbered years
- Members of the Board of Directors shall be elected in even numbered years.
- Officers will assume their positions on June 1st of the year in which they are elected.
** NOTE: In a September 2024 electronic vote, MAPS members voted unanimously to create the new position of Treasurer-Elect to establish a line of succession for the role of MAPS Treasurer.
