MAPS has a variety of ways to recognize its members for contributions to their institutions, to the organization, and to the planetarium field at-large. Below are the four awards for which MAPS members can be nominated. Award of Recognition

Given to a person who has made extraordinary
contributions to the institution.

MAPS Fellow

To recognize those members of the organization who maintain an active membership status along with other qualifying criteria.

Exceptional Service Award

Given to planetarium staff who have gone “above or beyond the call of service” in work related to the planetarium field.

Distinguished Service Award

A special recognition for outstanding, long-term service and dedication to the planetarium field.
