Some background about our facility; we switched from a Goto Mercury star machine to a digital system running Uniview software installed by SCISS. It’s like we are family. In addition to a new operating system we have new carpets, seats, sound system, dome lighting, console. Pretty much everything but the dome is new. All of this was funded by NYC councilperson Dominic Reccia’s discretionary monies through what is called Resolution A. We are extremely fortunate and excited for our new facility that hadn’t seen an upgrade for over 30 years since the room was first installed in 1979.
This is an exciting opportunity to show the Hubble Planetarium and demonstrate Uniview capabilities in a small dome.
